Don’t miss this year’s 3rd Annual Running of the Turkeys, set to kick-off at John DeBella’s Annual Turkey Drop. The unique 1-mile run will be run through the streets of West Chester on Sunday, November 18th, with participants carrying a frozen turkey. The big cold bird may be transported in any manner but if you’re going for the gold, make sure it’s a successful carrying system.
Runners are able to snag great prizes from area businesses for several categories. A prize will go to runners carrying the heaviest turkey, runners carrying the most turkeys, the most creative turkey carry, and the best holiday outfits — plus, the first 150 people to sign up for the race will receive a t-shirt. This 1-mile dash is also for a great cause, which makes everyone a winner in the end.
Local area businesses that are sponsoring the event are: WMGK, Chester County Running Store, Kildare’s Irish Pub, Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House, Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar, Rhino Living, Barnaby’s, Jacobs Realty Group, J&J Mechinical Inc, Joseph Anthony, Brandywine Valley Insurance Group, The Note, Social Lounge, Shehwen & Clark, P.C, US Foods, and Parkway Cleaners.
