Fall’s in full bloom and the Town Dish team wants to send you to celebrate the fresh season at Brandywine Valley Wine Trail‘s 10th Annual Harvest Festival, unfolding Sept. 29–30 and Oct. 6–7!
Our latest wine-focused giveaway will send one lucky local hitting the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail and their seven member wineries for the upcoming fall-infused festival, which happens to feature a grape stompin’ good time, plus the sights and smells of harvest as the wineries celebrate the 2012 vintage! As the harvest is the perfect time to hit the vineyards, you’ll find grapes galore as harvesting activities are underway and you’ll be able to enjoy pastoral settings for picnicking, live music to “sit n’ sip” or dance by, hayrides through the vineyards, BBQs, wine tastings, tours, and so much more!
Better yet, new for the 10th Annual Harvest Festival is traditional grape stomps at each member winery. Those taking part in the grape stomp can help BVWT in kicking off their annual Breast Cancer Awareness “Think Pink, Drink Pink” month (celebrating all October-long) by providing an optional donation to their local breast cancer charities: Living Beyond Breast Cancer and the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.
With wine trail passports in hand, you can enjoy tasting at all member wineries and receive a commemorative wine glass. Passports are valid for Harvest Festival weekends only, Sept. 29 – 30, Oct. 6–7. But, lucky for you, for our latest giveaway, we’re gifting two readers a pair of passports (a $40 value per pair), which will have you hitting the trails with a guest and sipping away — all for free!
