Spend a Day Outdoors at the Safe Harbor Golf & Tennis Classic and Dinner

When autumn rolls around, most people don’t need an extra push, aside from the lovely weather, to spend some time outside. However, in this case, the fundraising crew from Safe Harbor is urging you to spend a day at Whitford Country Club for their 5th Annual Golf Classic (now featuring tennis too).

The event, unfolding Monday, September 24th, is an 18-hole scramble involving contests, Chinese auctions, dinner and more. New to the 2012 happening is a Sponsor Kick Off Party on Thursday, September 6th, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Whitford Country Club. This way, all sponsors get to know each other and learn more about the mission of Safe Harbor before the event unfolds.

Golf registration begins at 11:00 a.m. and the shotgun start is at noon. There will be team prizes for the top three winning teams and a prize for longest drive. All participants are eligible to win. If you bring your A-game and shoot a hole-in-one on a designated hole, a big prize could be waiting for you. Prizes include top of the line golf equipment, roundtrip airline tickets, premium electronics and cash! Plus the best putter of the day could win the prize of $2,500 in cash.

Purchasing a Golf Super Ticket for $40 gets you the following:

  • Two mulligans on the golf course
  • Three raffle tickets for the auction at dinner
  • Eligible to participate in the putting contest
  • Eligible to participate in the Hole-in-One contest
If it’s tennis you long for, then make sure you register at 1 p.m. and are warmed up for the 2 to 4 p.m. tournament. All fundraisers guests, golfers and tennis players, are welcome to register for dinner beginning at 4 p.m. The evening will conclude with happy hour, the putting contest and a silent auction followed by dinner and awards.

The event is limited to 100 golfers so sign up before it’s too late! For more information visit the Safe Harbor website, email Helen Semus at [email protected], or Gina Harrison at [email protected].
