Talented Chefs Prep for the 9th Annual Art of Caring Gala, Unfolding Oct. 12

We all know sharing is caring. That credo definitely applies when art and food are involved. Enter the 9th Annual Art of Caring Gala, which will combine both elements at one fabulous event and supports a well known West Chester facility.

The gala includes both a live and silent auction of distinctive items. Each year the live auction centers on works of art created by local artists out of different pieces of furniture. The products will be unlike anything you’ve seen before and the food isn’t too far behind.

The 9th annual Art of Caring Gala on Friday, October 12th, 2012, will include a sumptuous feast featuring local treats created by talented area chefs. It is the first Art of Caring where an excellent dietary staff is coordinating the catering. Held at The Hickman, a 121-year-old retirement community in the Borough of West Chester, the event will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Two of the local chefs behind this grand meal have quite the resume, including affiliations with Bon Appetit Magazine, and The Hickman’s culinary staff is exceptionally talented. Every guest will appreciate their divine meal and the extra offerings from generous local suppliers like Phillips Lancaster Cheese Company, The Master’s Baker, Yori’s Bakery, and Rick Mayberry, Master Brewer.

Proceeds from the annual Art of Caring event benefit the expansion of The Hickman, to provide additional and improved affordable housing and care for seniors. Tickets for the event may be purchased at www.thehickman.org or by contacting Pamela Costanzi, Senior Development Director of The Hickman, at (484)760-6416.
