Mt. Airy’s Goat Hollow Debuts Weekend Brunch

GoatHollowExteriorChef Adam Glickman has debuted a new Weekend Brunch Menu at Mt. Airy’s historic restaurant Goat Hollow. The recently reopened restaurant, a beloved neighborhood spot that closed eight years ago, now serves weekend brunch, expanding their new American pub menu of deliciously rustic dishes. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

“We want Goat Hollow to have the same friendly, approachable appeal that made it so popular before, and brunch adds a familiar, welcoming new element to our restaurant,” says co-owner Neil Campbell. “We can’t wait to spend time with our friends—and their friends—every weekend over a cup of coffee and a great midday meal,” adds co-owner Andy Shahan.

Goat Hollow BurgerChef Glickman, a former Mt. Airy resident himself who gained kitchen know-how in Center City’s favorite place for beer and pub fare, Monk’s Cafe, created the Brunch Menu, which will include Cold-Smoked Cowboy Ribeye with three eggs any style, tater tots and greens; Herb-Fried Chicken and Waffles, house-battered chicken with herb seasoning and our Belgian waffle; and various takes on Eggs Benedict, with the option to add house-cured tasso ham, grilled vegetables, filet mignon or cured salmon. Their popular sandwiches and delicious selection of Moules et Frites will also be available on the brunch menu. Dishes range in price from $5 to $25.

To complement the meal, Goat Hollow Manager Kate Stewart has created several artisan cocktails, including the below:

  •  Goat’s Blood (red sangria on draught), with red wine, spiced rum, pomegranate, blood oranges and limes
  • Snap Daiquiri, with dark rum, Snap liqueur, lime juice and barrel-aged bitters
  • Apple Sidecar, with Granny Smith apple, applejack, orange liqueur, lemon juice and raw sugar rim
  • Skip and Go(at) Naked, with gin, crème yvette, lemon juice and kolsch

Goat Hollow, CocktailsIn addition, head bartender Nick Petrysxyn has also created an extensive Bloody Mary Bar including three types of mix—Chipotle, Clamato and Classic—with an extensive list of accoutrements such as blue cheese-stuffed olives, pickled green beans, kimchi, golden peppadews and other traditional fixtures. Cocktails range in price from $8 to $12. An impressive selection of beers on draught, cask and in bottles is also available, as is a variety of wines.

Goat Hollow is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, and a late-night menu is served from 11 p.m. until 1 a.m. daily. The bar is open until 2 a.m.  Weekend brunch is served from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Read Chestnut Hill Dish’s recent review of Goat Hollow here.
