Penn State Brandywine Alumni Society to Host Beer & Chocolate Tasting at Teca, March 23

Love beer and chocolate? If you do, you’ll want to join the Penn State Brandywine Alumni Society for a Chocolate Tasting event at Teca on Saturday, March 23, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. The event will be co-sponsored by Mars Chocolate North America, Boxcar Brewing Co. and The Chester County Historical Society.

This exclusive event will be hosted in a private room at Teca. A short presentation of the history of chocolate will be followed by a tasting of a range of chocolate products provided by Mars Chocolate North America. The Chester County Historical Society will also be selling chocolate products on behalf of Mars. Guests will enjoy an open bar, hor d’oeuvres courtesy of Teca, and hand-crafted beer from Boxcar Brewing Company, with the opportunity to meet head brewer Jason Kohser.

100% of the proceeds from the evening’s event will benefit the Penn State Brandywine Alumni Society’s Trustee Matching Scholarship fund. Penn State Brandywine, established in 1967, serves 1,600 local students. Just 20 miles from Philadelphia in Media, PA, Penn State Brandywine welcomes all kinds of students in different stages of their lives. From traditional to adult students, Penn State Brandywine values diversity and works to offer programs that appeal to a wide range of people in a small, close-knit environment. Many students on campus work several jobs to pay for their tuition. For this reason, the Alumni Society decided to participate in a program in which they signed on to raise $50,000 toward a scholarship that would make paying for college easier for these hard-working and deserving students.

Tickets for the event are $75 per person and are available for purchase through the Penn State Brandywine Alumni Society’s website. Get yours today! Ticket sales end Thursday, March 21.

Teca is located at 38 East Gay Street in West Chester; reach them by phone at (610) 738-8244.
