Memorial Day weekend is almost here! Although not summer just yet, it has always been an unofficial start to the warm weather season. As with past Memorial Day weekends in the greater Philadelphia area, there are plenty of events taking place this year as well. Review your options below, and get ready for an event-filled Memorial Day weekend.

Memorial Day Weekend Events

Memorial Day at Wyebrook (May 22–24)

Wyebrook Farm, located in Honey Brook, is the place to go for all of your grilling necessities this weekend. Steaks, burger blends, brats, Italian sausage and more fresh meats are in the Wyebrook Farm fully stocked meat case. On Saturday, May 24, listen to the sounds of Bob Beach and Friends when they play at the Farm from noon to 3 p.m.

Devon Horse Show and Country Fair (May 22–June 1)

The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair is a favorite Main Line event each year. The Devon Horse Show will take place each day with various events happening day/night. The Country Fair opens each day at 10 a.m. for the Midway and shopping vendors (except for the first Sunday, when it opens at 11 a.m.). Black Walnut Winery’s Blues Fest (May 23–25)

For the wine lover, there is no place you should be Memorial Day weekend other than Black Walnut Winery in Sadsburyville. Come indulge in Bank Barn Red on May 23 and make sure that you don’t miss the Black Walnut Winery Blues Fest, taking place on Saturday and Sunday, May 24 and May 25. During the Blues Fest, guests will enjoy live music from a wide array of Blues bands while sipping Black Walnut Winery varieties.

Carla Hall Appears at Lodge at Woodloch’s Chef Residence Series (May 23–26)

Carla Hall is a popular chef/television personality who stars on The Chew. Chef Hall will be participating in the Chef in Residence series taking place at The Lodge at Woodloch, a beautiful destination spa resort. Whole Lamb Roast at Drury Beer Garden (May 24)

The Drury Beer Garden is celebrating Memorial Day weekend with a whole lamb roast on Saturday, May 24. Starting at 3 p.m., head to Drury Beer Garden to sample the first in a series of spit-fired roasts, or souvlas, while enjoying delicious craft beers on tap.

Big Band and Broadway at Longwood Gardens (May 24)

Welcome the unofficial start to summer with live music at Longwood Gardens on Saturday, May 24. Listen to Big Band and Broadway era tunes while catching a fantastic fireworks display. This event often sells out, so purchase tickets ahead of time on the Longwood Gardens site to ensure you don’t miss out. There will also be a summertime barbecue on site prior to the event for those who want to grab a bite to eat.
