Don’t Miss This: Good Libations Market at Greensgrow Farmstand (July 15)

Philadelphians in the know visit the Greensgrow Farmstand for fresh and local fruit, vegetables, meats, dairy, eggs, cheeses and more every Saturday. Head to the Farmstand on Saturday, July 15 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. for a special treat—the Good Libations Market—and get a taste of hard ciders from several local producers.

Who’ll be pouring samples of their fresh, crisp and delicious ciders? Check out the participants below and get ready for some excellent cider sipping:

Ploughman Farm Cider produces their ciders from apples exclusively grown in Adams County, PA at Three Springs Fruit Farm. Selections include Stark Cider (American Strong Cider), Lupulin Lummox (American Cider hopped with Citra), Pinot N’Arlet (wild fermented cider aged on Pinot Noir skins) and Muhibbah (Dry Cider with Malaysian spices).

Commonwealth Ciders is made right around the corner from Greensgrow by Philadelphia Brewing Company. Their ciders are dry fermented and no additional sweeteners, artificial flavors, preservatives or colors are added during the process. Look for Traditional Dry, Gregarious Ginger and Razzberet Tart ciders.

Kurant Cider, currently based in Perkasie, is hard at work on opening up a new location in Fishtown. Kurant’s ciders are ultra dry, unfiltered and resemble a white wine more than traditional American ciders. We highly recommend getting a taste of their popular Bees variety. Other options include Earth, a hopped cider, and Farm, a funky and tart farmhouse-style cider.
