Homebrewers are the mad scientists of the craft beer world. Unconstrained by rules or customer loyalty, they are able to follow their curiosity wherever it might lead. Unconventional brewing methods, unique ingredients, custom malt and hop blends: nothing is off-limits when it comes to brewing up small batches of beer from home.
Ale aficionados and lager lovers in and around Chester County can sample what the local homebrewing community has been dreaming up at the Chester County Homebrew Festival, taking place this Saturday, June 24, from 6 p.m.–10 p.m. at the American Helicopter Museum in West Chester.
This is the 7th annual iteration of this charity event; proceeds are donated to David’s Drive 831, a local nonprofit that helps homeless and hospitalized veterans. Attendees at the festival enjoy the chance to taste dozens of homebrews and cast a vote for their favorite for the People’s Choice award. The winning homebrewers will be honored at the end of the evening.
Tickets to the festival are $40, which include the beer samples, a souvenir glass, buffet-style dinner and live music from reggae rock fusion band Subterranean Groove Theory.
Pick up your tickets today to try awesome homebrewed beers in a great setting, all while supporting a worthy cause.
