Simple Kitchen Shares a Recipe for an Amazing Green Smoothie

Jen Harniman Crangle LSW, owner of the Simple Kitchen, a social worker, certified health coach and mother, shares her recipe for an amazing smoothie that is perfect to jump-start your day and is a favorite amongst kids too!

Amazing Green Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 2 Medjool Dates
  • 1/2 or 1 whole frozen banana
  • 1/4 cup water for soaking dates
  • 4-6 pieces of frozen peaches
  • About 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • Water for blending
Cut dates in 1/2 and remove the pits. Roughly chop and put in a glass with 1/4 cup of water for about 5 minutes.

Put all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. You can add more water to obtain desired consistency.

Remember, you can’t get this wrong.  If it’s not sweet enough you can add more dates, or more mango.  Feel free to add other fruit or a handful of nuts. Enjoy!
