In the Kitchen: Cooking with Stony Brook Wholehearted Foods’ Squash Seed Oils

We were first introduced to New York’s Stony Brook WholeHearted Foods‘ squash seed oils by Rachel Tenney, their Pennsylvania sales and demonstration representative. Being unacquainted with squash seed oils, we were thrilled to meet their local rep, who was eager to share all of the health benefits of this unique condiment. Better yet, she was more than willing to share many tasty ways to incorporate the product into cooking as an alternative to other oils.

Intrigued by the concept of new cooking oils hitting local PA shops, we grabbed a supply of their butternut, delicata and pumpkin squash seed oils and hit our Dish Test Kitchen, tackling Tenney’s favorite oil-infused recipes.
