As of early May, you’ll be able to spy the crowd-pleasing summertime beer, Victory Brewing Company’s Summer Love Ale, back on shelves for 2013!
Originally commissioned by the Greater Philadelphia Marketing and Tourism Corporation (Visit Philly) in 2010 to “capture the essence of Philadelphia, a city rich in history and flavor,” the locally-produced golden ale has transformed into an iconic sign of the warm-weathered season, now with national distribution in 29 states and the District of Columbia.
2013’s batch will mark the second year that Summer Love Ale will be released nationally in bottles. Weighing in at 5.2% ABV, fanatics can expect the same greatness as years past, with the earthy familiarity of noble European hops backed up by fresh, clean German malts satisfyingly present aside a surprising burst of lemony refreshment and fistfuls of American whole flower hops at its finish.
With the return of Victory’s seasonal release also comes the “Find Your Summer Love” Sweepstakes. By simply scanning a QR code found on select Summer Love Ale posters and coasters, Victory lovers within the general public in participating states will be entered to win summer-inspired giveaways from Victory Brewing Company. More than 500 winners will be selected randomly over the course of the summer. Prizes will include summer-themed gear like lip balm, beach balls and more. The sweepstakes will launch May 15, 2013, and run through July 31, 2013. Winners will be notified via email, phone or USPS no later than August 15, 2013.
