Brandywine Ballet’s Nutcracker Teas Provide Holiday Fun for the Whole Family

Join the Brandywine Ballet for tea! A holiday tradition for years for many families, the Ballet’s annual Nutcracker Tea is held at Philips Memorial Library, adjacent to the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, where the Brandywine Ballet performs.

Tea sandwiches, desserts and goodies are on the menu for holiday teetotalers, and each child gets a gift bag with toys, games and other amusements. Children (and adults, too) will also be treated to a visit from costumed Nutcracker dancers. Meet and take pictures with your favorite characters from the ballet— the Sugar Plum Fairy, Clara and the Snow Queen and King.

Cost for the Nutcracker Tea is $25. Three tea times are available: December 14 at 2:30 p.m., December 21 at 2:30 p.m. and December 22 at 2:30 p.m. Families typically attend the tea before or after a Nutcracker performance to extend the holiday fun. Teas sold out early last year, so act quickly to secure your place! Tickets for the Teas and The Nutcracker may be purchased online here or by calling the ticket line at (610) 696-2711.
