Super Skinny Dips for the Big Game

Hot Pepperoni Pizza Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. dried oregano
  • ½ tsp. dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 cup pizza sauce, such as Classico
  • 1 cup part-skim shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Turkey pepperoni slices, such as Hormel

Directions:

Combine the ricotta and seasonings. Spread the cheese mixture into oven safe dish of choice. Pour on the pizza sauce as next layer, followed by mozzarella cheese and turkey pepperoni. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until bubbly. Serve with toasted baguette slices, whole wheat crackers and crudité.

Skinny Artichoke Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 can artichoke hearts packed in water, well drained, chopped
  • ¼ cup light mayo
  • ¼ cup light sour cream
  • 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • ½ cup freshly grated pecorino romano (or parmesan)
  • ¼  tsp sea salt
  • ¼  tsp freshly ground pepper, plus more to taste
  • 3 T seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp. extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

Mix all ingredients—through pepper—together. Combine breadcrumbs and olive oil in separate dish. Spread artichoke mixture into oven safe dish and top with bread crumbs. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until bubbly.  Serve with toasted baguette slices, pita chips and crudité.

Easy Nutella Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 6 oz. container of plain, fat-free Greek yogurt
  • 3 oz. reduced fat cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup Nutella

Directions:

Using electric mixer on medium speed, mix yogurt and cream cheese together until well combined. Add nutella and mix well. (More Nutella can be added, to taste). Chill until ready to serve. Goes wonderfully with fruit such as bananas, apples, strawberries, pears and grapes.
