National Constitution Center Debuts “American Spirits: The Rise and Fall of Prohibition” Exhibit

It’s hard for some to understand why one might want to celebrate prohibition, a time when our now favorite beverages were ordered to remain high and dry. The truth is, prohibition shaped our beer drinking nation into what it is today. You know, the one you love so dearly?

Whether you say “cheers” to prohibition before each gulp or not, the National Constitution Center‘s brew-infused exhibition is a sight you’ll want to see. American Spirits: The Rise And Fall Of Prohibition, which opened to the public on Friday, October 19th, includes an “Is it Legal?” interactive touchscreen game, photo opportunities, a re-created speakeasy complete with a bar, and so much more.

The display may be the center’s most impressive work to date, already receiving a rave review from The New York Times, who were caught saying “With its 120 artifacts, gallery stage sets, videos, games and diversions, [the exhibit] doesn’t just round up the usual suspects.”

You can catch a peek of the highly regarded production at 525 Arch Street until April 28th, 2013. Tickets are just $17.50 for adults, $16 for seniors and students, and $11 for children ages 4-12. Cheers!
