Amani’s Late August Wine Pairing Dinner

Jonathan and Jeanine Amann beautifully appreciate the farm-to-table movement at their restaurant, Amani’s BYOB, and later this month, they invite all locals into their cozy space on East Lancaster Avenue for a perfectly paired wine dinner on August 29.

As the second wine pairing dinner in the history of the upscale eatery (who earlier this year celebrated their one year), the Amanns sculpted an eye-catching five-course feast, with each course paired with an appropriate wine choice.

As an evening structure around the restaurant’s Buy Fresh Buy Local philosophy, the full-sized portion courses will, of course, make use of Chester County’s finest local ingredients, as well as accompany green and organic wines, and all-natural vodka for the cocktails.

The late summer season dinner premieres with a vibrant  yellow tomato gazpacho plopped with avocado pearls and lump crab meat and a pleasuresome glass of Kim Crawford’s Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand. Soon, guests will gush over course two, which displays a heirloom tomato salad presented with tri-colored peppers, goat cheese foam, aged balsamic and extra virgin olive oil and a North Coast, California Clos du Bois Chardonnay.

Inching toward the third and fourth courses may cause the most anticipation, as a dishes dancing with smoked duck beast with goat cheese panna cotta and a Chilean sea bass with Cerignola olive foam make their debut.

Of course, the concluding platter is the sweetest, booming with brioche bread pudding sculpted with poached peaches, white chocolate, crème anglaise and peach consumme, and a gorgeous glass of Columbia Valley’s Hogue Late Harvest Reisling.

The wine lineup for the evening was arranged with the assistance of Danielle Smith of Constellation Wines who focused on pairing environmentally conscience and organic wines with Chef Jonathan’s farm fresh food. There will be complimentary cocktails upon arrival followed by a 5 course dinner paired with 5 complimentary wines. The wine dinner will be arranged in two seatings, the first at 3 p.m. and the second at 6 p.m. The 5 course dinner will be $85 per person.

Amani’s BYOB is located at 105 E. Lancaster Avenue of Downingtown. To arrange your spot at the upcoming late August wine pairing dinner, call 484-237 – 8179 or visit Amani’s at their official website at www.amanisbyob.com.
