Get ready to hit the pavement! The 3rd Annual Run Germantown is taking place on Saturday, September 9. And it’s not just a 5K race, it’s also a time for families of all ages to have fun in athletic events and learn about living a fit and healthy lifestyle!
The day kicks off at 6:30 a.m. for sign-in and day-of registration in Vernon Park, near the entrance on Rittenhouse St. between Germantown Ave. and Greene St. The Run Germantown 5K race will begin at 8 a.m., with other family activities beginning at 9:30 a.m. All finishers receive a medal for completing the race course and are invited to stay to enjoy and participate in the after-race festivities.
All of the proceeds from Run Germantown will be divided between three organizations dedicated to growing a thriving community in Northwest Philadelphia and beyond: The One Less Foundation, The Historic Johnson House, and Friends of Vernon Park. And as a runner, you can support any of the three nonprofit organizations by turning your run into a “fundracer” by asking people you know to make a donation to your run for the organization.
Lace up those sneakers and join this annual fundraising race! You can register online or on the day of the event.
Run Germantown 5K will begin and end at Vernon Park, located at 5818 Germantown Ave. in Philadelphia; phone: (215) 683-3600.
