Brussels sprouts get their dues in this phenomenal PA Preferred recipe that brings a symphony of flavors to your dinner plate. We love how the dense, cruciferous vegetables tango with salty, meaty bacon bits and caramelized maple glaze in a surprisingly simple recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds Pennsylvania Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 6 slices Pennsylvania raw bacon, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tablespoons Pennsylvania maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Method
- Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread Brussels sprouts and bacon in an even layer onto the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper, and toss to coat.
- Roast, stirring halfway, until sprouts are browned and the bacon is crisp, about 20-25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with garlic and drizzle with maple syrup. Toss sprouts until evenly coated and glossy.
- Return to the oven to let the maple glaze caramelize slightly, about 3-5 minutes. Then transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with parsley, and serve.
