If you’ve ever dreamed of taking your love of cheese into the classroom, Valley Milkhouse is now offering up the opportunity to do just that. Join Stefanie, owner and cheesemaker at Valley Milkhouse, in her creamery for a half-day class loaded with creamy, cheesy goodness.
You’ll take away practical knowledge in conjunction with a hands-on experience making a simple, fresh Fromage Blanc with cow’s milk. This recipe can be easily translated to the home kitchen for even the most rookie cheesemaker. The class will take you through each step of the process, from warming the milk to inoculation and cutting curd to draining, salting and forming. The class will end with a cheese tasting to evaluate the Valley Milkhouse lineup.
Space is limited, so order your tickets online today. Ten students will try their hand at Valley Milkhouse’s first cheesemaking class. This will be the first in a series of classes that will lead to intermediate recipes such as feta, bloomy rind cheeses and aged cheeses. To get on the waiting list, email Stefanie at [email protected].
