As of yesterday, Barclay Prime has decided to up the ante on their notorious $100.00 Cheesesteak. The prized plated possession has been a signature item since the restaurant’s opening in 2004. It’s a decadent version of everyone’s favorite Philly-staple made with Wagyu ribeye, foie gras, truffles, and fontina cheese served on a ciabatta roll.
Have you been lucky enough to get a taste? If so, or if you’ve heard the tasty tales from friends who have, then you probably know the sandwich has always been paired with half a bottle of champagne like Veuve Cliquot, Laurent-Perrier, or Perrier-Jouet just to name a few.
Now, and until further notice (which should be anytime soon) guests will have the opportunity to enjoy this most talked about menu item with a glass of Dom Pérignon – Vintage 2000. If that’s not upping the ante, then what is? Treat yourself or a very much loved one to something special. It’s well deserved every once in a while and will be worth every penny! Cheers!
