Consider yourself a bit of a local lover? Always on the hunt for your favorite finds in the Media area? If so, then the 3rd Annual Media Eats Local, a Community Potluck is definitely an event for you.
Unfolding on January 22nd from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Media Community Center, this super-local event will feature free-wheeling discussions about:
- supporting and expanding local food production and local food availability
- organizing cooperative food preparation and preservation workshops
- creating collaborative local food cookbooks and recipe swapping
- supporting a local Slow Food chapter
- doing a comprehensive food assessment study of the area for future planning
- PLUS anything else relating to eating more local food in the Greater Media area!
The event has been a huge hit since first being organized in 2011 and it continues to improve every year. If interested, get behind the movement by making a contribution to the discussions at the 2013 affair. The organization looks forward to new input!
