Here’s your chance to return the multitude of favors that nurses perform for you and the ones you love!
Riddle’s Department of Nursing is planning their Fourth Annual Bingo and Basket Raffle on Thursday, May 10 as part of the 2012 National Nurses Week activites. This is the perfect opportunity for you to give back to someone who has helped you at one time or another. We all have been to the doctor before, treated by a nurse and now it’s time to return the favor for their hard work on all fronts.
The purpose of the event is to raise money for the Nursing Excellence Fund which supports nursing continuing education and projects to improve patient care. Last year’s success of $15,000 raised was due mostly to raffling of spectacular gift baskets. This is where the general public comes in! The event planning committee is lookig to create more of these wonderful baskets for raffling in 2012. They are looking for any type of contribution, be it a gift certificate or useful item, that can be used in the baskets to increase their value and attractiveness.
Cash donations are also welcomed and the association will be sending letters after the event that may be used when filing your tax return, recognizing your action as a charitable donation. Any amount is appreciated and checks can be made payable to RHCF – Nursing Excellence Fund.
