Have you ever wondered how grapes get made into wine? Or where the flavors and aromas in wine come from? Have you ever wondered about the origins of chocolate? Or why a chocolate square has a snap when you break it, a shine when you see it, yet it still melts so delightfully in your mouth?
Join Lance Castle, winemaker and co-owner of Black Walnut Winery, located in Sadsburyville, PA and Gail Warner, chocolatier and owner of Bridge Street Chocolates, located in Phoenixville, PA for an afternoon of wine and chocolate education. They’ll be journeying from vine to bottle and bean to bar at Black Walnut Winery in Sadsburyville on Sunday, February 24 for a fun-filled class with a lot of education as well.
Lance will take guests through the journey of winemaking by providing a brief introduction to viticulture. Then they will learn about vinification, wine tasting, and wine pairing. Next up, Gail will explain the journey of making chocolate. Learn where cacao is grown, how it’s harvested and prepared, and which profiles you prefer best. You will also have the opportunity to test your knowledge and sensory of chocolate by tasting various samples.
After all that drool-worthy education, the class will end with a much earned sampling of Bridge Street chocolates with Black Walnut wines, plus Q&A and a raffle with fabulous prizes.
So are you ready to tudor your taste buds? Then read on!
