Before you know it, September will be here, and a potential summer’s end will come with it. The Downingtown-Thorndale Chamber of Commerce is prepared to beat any negative fall thoughts with their annual Downingtown FallFest on Sunday, September 30th. Food from local restaurants, goods from local businesses, tons of crafts, gifts, and the Victory Beer Garden are just a few things that will turn your post-summer frowns upside down!
The Downingtown FallFest is free for everyone to attend, and welcomes guests of all ages. It’s family friendly and pay as you go. Live music and a variety of entertainment will be available throughout the day. The event takes place on Lancaster Avenue between Wallace Avenue and Green Street.
Last year’s entertainment scene welcomed the School of Rock House Band and Best of Seasons Band as well as acoustic performances by Emberway and Tim McGlone. The audiences were thrilled with the performances and a few even brought their dancing shoes. You don’t want to miss it when these bands or something equally jam-tastic returns this year! Plus, your favorite local radio station, WCHE 1520 AM will also be on site with PA Eats to emcee the event.
Although you’re not permitted to walk around the lively festival with beers in hand, attendees in the past have mingled in the Victory Beer Garden while they savor the best seasonal brews. This year’s Victory Beer Garden at the Fall Fest will encompass the entire parking lot and will have multiple beer purchasing stations. Beer will cost $5 for each 16 oz. serving and only cash will be accepted.
