Conshohocken Mediterranean eatery Isabella has announced the hiring of Denise Gesek as executive chef.

“I wanted to bring a fresh change and retooling to Isabella,” said Isabella owner Tom Richter. “Denise is taking Isabella to where I have wanted the restaurant to go for years, more creative small plates with a broader Mediterranean reach.”

Gesek plans to introduce an all new menu featuring traditional Spanish tapas and Mediterranean cuisine with a modern twist. Since graduating from Johnson and Wales, Gesek has served as executive chef at the Brandywine River Museum, worked with prestigious chefs Jasper White and Lydia Shine and owned and operated her own catering business.
