Bob Lange of Malvern’s Sugartown Strawberries Honored as Farmer of the Year

Celebrate agriculture and its economic impact on Chester County with AgConnect and the Chester County Economic Development Council at a luncheon honoring Bob Lange of Sugartown Strawberries, located in Malvern, Pa. Bob’s been awarded the esteemed title of 2014 Farmer of the Year, which is certainly not easy to obtain. On October 16, the Hilton Garden Inn in Exton will house a crowd eager to hear keynote speaker Russell Redding present Bob with his award. Redding, currently the Dean of Agriculture and Environmental Science at Delaware Valley College, formerly held the title of Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture. It should also be noted that farmer Bob Ray will receive another high honor in the world of farming, the 2014 Distinguished Service Award.

Tickets to the Chester County Ag Legacy Luncheon, just $35, can be purchased online.

Congratulations to both farmers in their continued efforts.
