“Baseball and Biscotti” is the combination of America’s two great passions – good food and the national pastime, and on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 2 p.m, you can celebrate both at the Easttown Library (720 First Ave., Berwyn)!
Major League baseball begins in April and there is no better time for the talk than the opening of the season. Some possible links between biscotti and baseball will also be explored during this upcoming book talk, along with the trendy food now being served in ballparks.
Author Lisa Loeb will talk about her new book Wanna Taste? Stories and Recipes from Mama Carlino’s Kitchen. Loeb’s book tells the story of Angela Carlino, her family and the successful Carlino business. “The book has excellent stores about a wonderful family and an American success story,” Loeb said.
Author Bruce Mowday will talk about his latest book Richie Ashburn … Why The Hall Not? The Amazing Journey to Cooperstown. “Richie was named by Philadelphia Magazine as the most beloved athlete in Philadelphia history,” Mowday said. “This is a wonderful book about Richie, a former member of the club’s Whiz Kids team and a Hall of Famer.”
The authors will take questions and their books will be available to purchase.
