On Tuesday, September 13, beginning at 7 p.m., Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant of Media, found at 30 East State Street, will host a special Autumn Farm-to-Table Brewmaster’s Dinner, featuring five courses of seasonal fare sourced from local farmers paired with their award-winning beers.
“This is an amazing time of year in our region: all the hard work of farmers over the hot summer months is paying off in perfectly ripe seasonal vegetables and fruits, and we’re thrilled to pair those flavors with our Pennsylvania-brewed beers,” said Executive Chef Dave Anderson, who made various farm trips to taste products and create the hyper-seasonal menu.
Menu items will include the following:
- Local Cheeses and Charcuterie, including Birch Run Red Cat, First State Creamery Aged Goat Cheddar, Dejong Farms Salami and Fruitwood Farms Pine Barrens Honey
paired with Belgian Tripel
- Three Bean and Three Tomato Salad, green, yellow and purple beans and green, yellow and purple tomatoes with lemon cucumbers and goat feta on a bed of mizuna with dandelion wine vinaigrette
paired with Ironbound Ale
- Fish “of the Moment,” freshly caught and pepper-crusted with candy-striped borscht and mushroom pierogi
paired with Vienna Red Lager
