Take mom for a day trip to Frecon Farms this Saturday, May 11, for their Mother’s Day Garden Party from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.! The event is free for all and will include:
- Wine, mead & cider tastings
- Guest chef & food samplings
- Flowers, floral arrangements and planters
- The release of 2013 Crabby Granny, recently awarded a bronze medal at the Great Lakes Cider & Perry Association’s annual competition
The Guest Chef for the day will be preparing the following seasonal dishes for all attendees to try:
Strawberry Rhubarb Jam with Citrus Zest and Ginger, Served on Crostini with Goat Cheese Mousse and Garnished with Slivered Spring Onions
Shaved Asparagus Salad with Carrot and Poppy Seed Pesto and Shaved Parmesan
Wilted Spinach, Strawberry and Quinoa Salad with Garlic Honey Apple Cider Emulsion
