Save the dates: PACS has two great fundraisers coming up at the end of March and beginning of April.
The first is their 4th Annual Murder Mystery Comedy Dinner Theatre on Friday, March 25 at RiverCrest. The performance of Karaoke Killer will be done by actors from the Forge Theatre.
On Saturday, April 2nd, PACS will hold the American Classics Festival, a first for the local region. Two of the festival’s events make this unique. Saturday afternoon, they are hosting a Show Choir Competition featuring area high school glee clubs (due to the popularity of the hit TV show Glee), and into the evening, the grand finale will be a dance party featuring DJ Jerry Blavat who is a legend with lovers of oldies music.
Guests are invited to spend their afternoon on Bridge Street admiring mint condition cars, trucks and street rods, while imagining themselves behind the wheel. Take in the Show Choir Competition featuring some of the finest high school glee clubs in the region. Bring the little ones who will delight in story telling with their favorite costumed characters, puppet shows and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. Visit the shops and restaurants, browse the vendors and enjoy all the charm Phoenixville has to offer. That evening put on your dancing shoes for Phoenixville’s first Jerry Blavat Dance Party at Franklin Commons. Join the “Geator with the Heater” for your favorite tunes, friends and fun!
Four local high school show choirs have committed so far to the afternoon’s competition, including Phoenixville, Pottstown, Pottsgrove and Owen J. Roberts. More schools are being added with a maximum of ten or twelve. This event will be held at The Colonial Theatre. The Borough has approved closing that block of Bridge Street for the Classic Car Show and other activities on that afternoon. So with fun for the whole family, the American Classics Festival is a must-attend event!
