January Beer Releases from Iron Hill Brewery of Phoenixville

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant of Phoenixville makes a splash into 2011 with an attractive lineup of new beers on tap, as well several new releases on the docket to première throughout this month.

As of January 1st, the American IPA (dry hopped with loads of national hops), the Belgian Pale Ale (a large dose of English Stryian Golding hops), the Bohemian Pilsner (distinct noble hop aroma and flavor), the Barleywine (intense with sherry-like quality), the Peach Ale and Chocolate Stout (Russian Imperial Stout brewed with Venezuelan cocoa nibs, oodles of Madagascar Bourbon island Vanilla beans and milk sugar) all became cozy on the Phoenixville location’s taps and there is a lot of promise for the rest throughout this month.

Other winter-appropriate brews are set to will be unleashed to the local beer scene including the Honey Saisan (approx. release late Jan.), which has been brewed with 65 pounds of honey from the Exton Bee Company and pairs perfectly with all kinds of food.

Of course, during this month’s First Friday celebration on January 7, Phoenixville’s head brewer Tim Stumpf is packing something special, as well—a special firkin of Chocolate Creamsicle. Crafted as a Russian Imperial Stout brewed with chocolate and aged with vanilla beans and orange zest, the sweet treat slurp can also be found tastefully poured over a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
