“Ghoul’s Night Out” – Smart Women and Successful Estate Planning

Does the thought of dying without a will make your blood run cold? Are you frightened that your affairs are not in order? Smart women like to plan ahead. But more importantly, really smart women know that planning for their eventual death helps nail down their financial future and that of their family’s. If you are haunted by your lack of preparedness, this seminar could be just the trick.

Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust is hosting a “Ghouls’ Night Out”, the second in a series of free seminars designed just for women, on Thursday, October 14, from 6:00 to 8:00pm at their Conference Center, 564 Nutt Road in Phoenixville.

Featured guest speaker for the evening is Jennifer Messa, Esquire, of Unruh, Turner, Burke & Frees. Ms. Messa will take an informative and fun look at the deadly serious topic of death and dying, and what you can do to anticipate it. Any brave souls who attend will take a stab at learning what documents you need, how to plan for incapacitation, who to name as an executor (not executer), if you need a trust, and much more.

Women of all ages and stages are invited to join in this monstrously fun and informative evening of wine-tasting, finger foods, and door prizes. Dessert will be provided by Cakezilla of Swarthmore, the most creative and delicious killer sweets you’ll ever sink your teeth in. Stick around for a bite.

[Insider foodie information: The owner of Cakezilla, Beth DeBruyn, grew up in Phoenixville and plans to raffle three of her custom creations at the spook-tacular event.  Your mouth will water when you hear about her cakes: “Death By Chocolate” (a dense chocolate creation with chocolate ganache and chocolate fondant sculpted as a coffin with mummy),  “Black Widow” (a 2-tier red velvet cake covered in white fondant with black spiders, webs, and blood red roses) and “Pumpkin Patch” (2 sculpted pumpkin cakes with maple buttercream covered in hand-colored orange fondant).]

Grab your mummy, your best ghoulfriend, or come alone if you dare, and reserve your spot today by calling 610-935-8304. We’ll be waiting for you. Registration is required and space is limited. For more information, go to www.phoenixfed.com.
