PA Eats crew is ecstatic over the news of Dia Doce debuting its official brick and mortar in downtown West Chester, now open at 100 South High Street.
Baker Thais Da Silva first debuted her bakery-on-wheels in early 2011, returning to her hometown of Downingtown from New York City, to unveil her high-quality, gourmet cupcake business. In Oct. 2011, she flew to Los Angeles to compete on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, an episode that aired March 2012 showcasing that she was indeed our local cupcake superstar—nabbing first place in the competition! Success has since followed the talented, blonde-haired baker, who teamed up with family friend (and barista) Cathey Slayton to introduce a cupcake and coffee bar to our food-loving borough.
Several members of PA Eats crew (Ronna Dewey, Angela Corrado, Mary Bigham, Nina Cazille and myself, Amy Strauss) were delighted to check out the new WC space at the official Grand Opening on Fri., Oct. 11. Full photographic recap below, courtesy of Nina Lea Photography.
