The Rotaract Club of West Chester is supporting a fantastic organization called Stockings for Soldiers (www.stockingsforsoldiers.org). This organization sends personalized stockings to the brave men and women stationed in the Middle East. It is a great way to say ‘Thank You’ to the people who sacrifice so much for us with a hand-made, personalized stocking to show that someone is thinking of them.
Over the next several weeks, they will be personalizing each stocking with the recipient’s name, stuffing them with goodies, boxing them and shipping them to troops in the remotest regions of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Last year over 500 great volunteers helped to mail out 1,200 boxes packed with 6,600 homemade, personalized Christmas Stockings that were filled with over 36,000 pounds of Christmas Goodies. They also made and shipped 800 polar fleece blankets and 500 knitted hats for our troops.
Come out to eat, drink and support!
On November 16th, enjoy a happy hour with an open bar and a savory buffet consisting of baked ziti, chicken fingers, and Caesar salad from 6:00-9:00. RSVP on Facebook by clicking this link. Location: Barnaby’s, 15 S. High St, West Chester, PA 19380
