7 Picks for Grab-and-Go Goodies for Exton’s Summer Concerts

Nothing drums up a great time with family and friends like sitting outside in pleasant weather and listening to good music. We recommend heading to the Eagleview Town Center—with an event calendar overflowing with family-style activities that includes the Tuesday evening Concert on the Square series.

Promising a stellar summer lineup of musicians and bands this year, deciding what to nosh while tapping our toes and swingin’ our hips should be easy, convenient and tasty. Obviously, the onsite Brickside Grille with its loaded pub fare menu is a hands-down favorite, but we wanted to offer some additional suggestions on other local grab-and-go spots where you can pick up a pizza, a few sandwiches, a healthy salad and even some Asian-inspirate eats before the show. The only things required are chairs, maybe a growler and plenty of napkins.

Capriotti’s Exton Sandwich Shop

Capriotti's sandwich and salad

Located in the Fairfield Place Shopping Center, this Delaware transplant has a feel-good menu that includes subs, salads and a can’t-live-without The Bobbie (turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayo). Look for excellent vegetarian options and online ordering, too. 117 E. Swedesford Rd., (610) 363-7095

Taco Maya Mexican Grill

Open every day until 9 p.m., this local Mexican favorite claims to have the best burritos and tacos this side of the border. We can’t argue with a menu that touts selections like combo tacos, 12-inch burritos and a great kids’ menu, too. Located a short distance from the concert venue, this spot is a sure-fire winner for convenience as well as lip smackin’ goodness. 221 Eagleview Blvd., (610) 363-3081

Ron’s Original Bar and Grille

rons original

This Main Line Today winner by owner Ron Inverso has been cranking out hot sandwiches, fresh salads and piping hot pasta and wing dishes for 25 years. Promising a menu with something for everyone, the signature ovals are a must with toppings that include cha cha chicken, sorrento and our favorite, the no holds barred. You’ll find Ron’s to have one of the best takeout beer selections in the area, too. 74 E. Uwchlan Ave., (610) 594-9900

Devi Indian Restaurant

Want to get your veggieness on? Authentic south Indian cuisine is packed with flavor and ready to go with a small selection of takeout dishes including paneer tikka masala. Make sure to call ahead at this local gem. 151 Whiteland Towne Center, (610) 594-9250

Murasaki Sushi

Murasaki California roll

This is truly one of the best sushi and sashimi spots in the area. Check out Japanese, Thai and sushi dishes that include handrolls, tempura and salads. Order online ahead of time for easy pickup. 475 E. Uwchlan Ave., (484) 341-8362

Appetites on Main

Did someone say buffalo chicken cheesesteak? Say no more—but we will anyway with standout dishes that include wings, bacon cheese fries and crazy skins as well as the rounded kids’ menu with corn dogs and chicken fingers. Be sure to indulge in a six-pack of your favorite brew for the road. 286 Main St., (610) 594-2030

Bring a Can

While no admission is charged to attend Eagleview Town Center events, why not bring a canned food item (or more) to each event to support our fight against hunger? Food donations will benefit the Chester County Food Bank.
