Get It While You Can: La Cabra’s First Bottle Release Set for April 10

Berwyn’s La Cabra Brewing has quickly become a favorite beer and dining destination on the Main Line and beyond. Brewer Dan Popernack produces a wide variety of beers, from a barrel-fermented saison to a dry-hopped sour, but up until now La Cabra’s inventive beers have only been available on-site and in draft format.

Fans of the brewery recently received great news—La Cabra is releasing its very first bottled beer! The beer is called Aleatory Series #1 and is an American wild ale with raspberry. La Cabra described the beer on its Facebook page:

“Intense fresh raspberry aroma and flavor commingle with light tartness and funk. This refreshing ode to the raspberry was aged in virgin oak for several months to develop a kiss of barrel character to complement 500 lbs. of raspberries. 6.5%ABV”

Half of the allotment quickly sold out via an online pre-sale, but you can still get your hands on this very special bottle. Aleatory Series #1 will be released at the brewery on Monday, April 10, from 4–9 p.m. All sales will be first-come, first-served. The bar will be open and select menu items will be available for your enjoyment, too.
