Who deserves a break more than Mom? She has a way of making sure things in our lives run smoothly—and even with her daily multitasking, she seems to make it all happen magically at times. Whether it’s tying a shoe, running a business or just listening to us go on about the latest issue in our lives, she always offers a shoulder to lean on and an attentive ear to bend.
Of course we know that she has no magic wand, but she does deserve to have a day all her own. A day where she is the center of attention. A day full of quality time, a bouquet of fresh flowers and the cell phones turned off and put away. A day where you can create a little magic for her. And we know just the place.
Normandy Farm, in pastoral Montgomery County, has not one, but two Mother’s Day dining options that are designed to make Mom know just how much she’s appreciated. A historic restored prestigious estate serves as the backdrop for a true farm-to-table feast fit for a queen.
Grand Ballroom Brunch Buffet
You’ll find something for everyone (and plenty of it!) in the gorgeous Grand Ballroom, which will be loaded with your favorite brunch delights. Waffle, french toast and omelet stations boast every filling or topping you can imagine. Did we mention one of the area’s most delectable eggs benedict stations, too? Or perhaps you’ll go for tender beef tenderloin, garlic pork loin or bourbon BBQ glazed salmon at one of the hot carving stations. Don’t forget your manners—let mom be first in line for this Mother’s Day feast, offered 10 a.m.–4 p.m. for $44.95 for adults and $16.95 for children ages 5–10.
Prix Fixe Soiree at the farmer’s daughter
You certainly aren’t required to, but why not dress up a bit for Mom as you indulge in sit-down dining with an over-the-top 3-course prix fixe dinner (plus dessert) in the quaint farmer’s daughter restaurant. Let mom relax and enjoy being with those she loves while attentive and accommodating servers pamper her (and you) on this special day.
Enjoy creamy bay scallop bisque (no slurping, for Mom’s sake), crisp salads and an exquisite lineup of entree selections including herb-marinated lamb loin, Chilean sea bass, center-cut filet mignon and more. Seating is offered from 1–6 p.m. Prices start at $39.95 (depending on entree selected) for adults, $16.95 for children ages 5–10.
Loosen up your belt just a notch when artistically presented—and oh-so-decadent—desserts hit the table and make everyone go wow. You won’t be disappointed, and Mom will love treating herself.
Let’s not forget those who sometimes do a fantastic job of filling in for Mom. Come celebrate with the stepmoms, aunts, sisters and neighbors who go out of their way to make us feel like we’re on top of the world. Show them how important they are in our lives and indulge them with some heartfelt company (and some amazing food) for the day.
Spots fill up quickly, so don’t hesitate. Reservations are required for either exclusive option and can be made by calling (215) 616-8300.
