How would you like to sit by a roaring fire, crisp draft beer in hand, as you take in the glory of a summer sunset? If that sounds like a plan, get yourself to Molly Maguire’s of Phoenixville, where spectacular views abound from the lovely and well-equipped rooftop patio.
With all the trappings of an authentic Irish pub and the best Guinness in town, Molly Maguire’s boasts three floors of outdoor space where diners are welcome to order from the Gaelic-inspired menus and enjoy rotating live musical acts.

Opening for First Friday on May 5, the rooftop deck will join the second and first floor patios as options for Maguire’s diners. We chatted with manager Liam Morris and bartender Brian DiBonaventure and got the inside scoop on these outdoor nooks.
Alfresco Options Abound
For an alfresco experience any night of the week, Molly Maguire’s first and second floor patios are the ideal spots to enjoy satisfying menu items, which range from Irish waffle fry nachos to grilled salmon salad and include a slew of traditional Irish fare like fish & chips, bangers & mash and an all-day Irish breakfast.
Night owls can snack from Molly Maguire’s late night menu from 11 p.m.–midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and enjoy the toasty firepit.

Morris says Molly Maguire’s customers love the “tried-and-true element” of Phoenixville’s staple pub, where “food and drinks are guaranteed to be excellent any day of the year.” Inventive and unique cocktails complement a bevy of high-end, aged Irish whiskeys and refreshing draft brews and round out the libations selection.
Live music, including acoustic acts on the second floor, create the festive summer vibe we’ve craved all winter long.
First Friday Rooftop Debut

Molly Maguire’s rooftop patio, the only one in Phoenixville, is set to open on Friday, May 5, as part of the city’s First Friday celebration. It will reopen every First Friday of the season, which spans May through October and showcases the food and culture of this vibrant little town.
“It’s sort of like a giant block party,” DiBonaventure explains. “Everybody in town agrees to go out and celebrate the weather.” Craft and art vendors, beer gardens, live music and tent booths abound as locals and visitors alike flood the streets, many of which are closed for the evening.

With unobstructed sunset views and a fabulous firepit, Molly Maguire’s rooftop offers a respite from the crowds and a scene unto itself. “It’s a chill little environment to be in,” Morris says.
Customers can count on a full bar and food service as they take in the sights from a bird’s eye view. Adding to the fun, party band The Insiders will play its last show in the area at Maguire’s that night before a summer booked at seaside venues.
A Level Up for Private Parties
Beyond its use as a fantastic First Friday venue, Molly Maguire’s rooftop deck is also available for private parties of 20–200. To take your next event up a few levels, consider renting this dramatic space for an unforgettable experience.
Rental includes exclusive access to the rooftop patio and a private, fully stocked bar with bartender service. In addition to the outdoor patio space on the third floor, an impressively sized indoor room allows for year-round rooftop celebrations.

To sample the breathtaking vistas for yourself, join Molly Maguire’s for its annual 4th of July party this summer. It’s the ideal place for taking in the fireworks and toasting in the night air.
