Summertime Arts in the Park Kicks Off in Media June 3

Arts in the Park is ready for a full summer of music, storytelling and eclectic performances. Sponsored by Friends of Glen Providence Park, the event series is back for its sixth summer and has a full schedule of family-friendly fun!

To kick off the 2017 Arts in the Park, enjoy Master Storyteller Odds Bodkin on Saturday, June 3, from 5–6:30 p.m. Odds will bring his harp, 12-string guitars and other instruments to help him tell his funniest family-friendly stories. Odds has performed twice at The White House and been called “a consummate storyteller” by the New York Times and “a modern-day Orpheus” by Billboard Magazine.

Bring a blanket or chair, and relax on the lawn by the historical stage to listen to tales that appeal to all ages. After the performance, head into Media for dinner and shopping, just 2 blocks away on State Street. No worries if it rains; the show will be postponed until Sunday, June 4, at the same time and location.

Mark your calendar for the rest of the Arts in the Park series:
