Extra Extra! Read All About It!

I know that I am a small-town gal, but I’m sure it would be a bizarre feeling for a lot of people to open the newspaper and see your smiling face surrounded by an entire article ABOUT you. Weird. I had no idea what content the Philadelphia Inquirer would choose for the WC Dish article, so I was very anxious and excited to see what was printed.

I woke up at 5:30 am and carefully gathered 6 copies of the paper from 7-11. Back in my apartment and settled comfortably on my bed, I took one from the top of the stack. At first I just stared at it, and wasn’t quite ready to read it. I was very excited when I remembered that the picture was with my favorite green dress, and my taste buds immediately recalled the sweet-tasting cupcake I was eating when they took the picture (from cupcakes gourmet available at Sprazzo.).

I took a deep breath and started reading. Relieved that they didn’t disclose too much embarrassing info about me (other than the fact that I ate nothing but turkey sandwiches for a time in my life and chose my college because of food), I sat for a moment to absorb the fact that “Holy S#@%,” I am in the paper. I then immediately called my dad and then my sister (who else could I call at 7-something in the morning?).

One thing that is missing from the article is the praise for everyone who has helped with WC Dish. There are so many people involved with the site that they deserve all the recognition in the world. So, in the upcoming dishes I will be giving a shout out to all these amazing people who help make wcdish.com the resource that it is for the folks of WC.

And without further ado, I’ll share it with you! Check out the article for yourself:

The Final Dish: Now let’s hope the server doesn’t crash from all the new hits this article generates! But that would be a delicious problem, wouldn’t it?
