The first-ever Victory Brewpub Ladies’ Night, titled Project Venus, is quickly approaching, held Monday, May 16, from 6 to 9pm.
For a cost of $35/per person, attending females may be among the first to taste Project Venus, the first all women-brewed collaboration beer that was concocted amongst Lead Brewer at Cambridge Brewing Co., Megan Parisi; Stone Brewing’s Laura Ulrich and Victory Brewing’s Whitney Thompson. The night’s namesake beer, with a working name of “Venus,” is a Belgian Dubbel, made with oranges and saffron. (Read the full story on this brew by visiting Brewhound.com’s great writeup here.)
Only one keg of this women-brewed beer is available in PA, and Victory Brewing Company has it. The first servings from that keg will be shared at this Project Venus-themed evening.
Of course, Thompson will be in house for the evening’s affair, chatting about what it is like for women in the world of brewing and how she became involved in the project. Victory’s Chef Lynn will host two cooking demonstrations, as well, and guests may enjoy beer and food from four pairing stations.
