(Closed) Giveaway: “Cook Like a Rock Star” with Food Network’s Anne Burrell’s New Cookbook

Need to recharge your kitchen skills this fall season? Looking for helping hand from a culinary expert? Food Network‘s Anne Burrell is here to help!

The host of two Food Network shows, Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and Worst Cooks in America, believes that anyone–no matter what your skill set–can be a “rock star” in their own kitchen, just as long as you have confidence and the ability to get a great meal on the table without breaking a sweat.

To support her mission of assisting at-home chefs in crafting killer creations, Burrell releases her debut 256-paged cookbook, Cook Like a Rock Star: 125 Recipes, Lessons, and Culinary Secrets, and she’s even given us a copy (a $27.99 value) to give away to one lucky local!

Burrell’s cookbook, which just hit bookstores today (Oct. 4), features rustic, yet elegant recipes that’ll have any novice cook whipping up show-stopping meals in a flash, including everything from a full olive-crusted rack of lamb and sweet and spicy sausage ragu, to truffled deviled eggs, pumpkin soup with allspice whipped cream and a pear taste tatin with a shortbread crust.

The quirky, classically-trained chef even passes along tips, like how to use garlic effectively (“perfume the oil, remove the garlic, and ditch it–it’s fulfilled its garlic destiny”) and how to correctly “sale and pepe” (“salt and pepper are not married, they’re only dating”).

So, you want to nab a copy of this brand-spanking-new fun and inspiring hardcover cookbook? Leave a comment on this post by noon tomorrow, Oct. 5 stating why you need to cook like a rock star in your own kitchen! We will announce our winner via this post shortly after the contest is closed.

Also, don’t miss the vivacious Anne Burrell at her upcoming book signing at Williams-Sonoma of the King of Prussia Mall on Thurs., Oct. 6 from 11 am to 1 pm.

May the best food lover win!
