Have you built up a lifetime of skateboarding knowledge? Want to strut your half pipe-loving stuff in a full-blown quizzo event, all to benefit Downingtown Skatepark Organization?
Side Bar and Restaurant announces their first-ever evening featuring skateboard-based quizzo on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 9pm. The evening, titled “Skate and Quiztroy,” will appropriately host a slew of themed prizes for winning participants, all provided by both Side Bar and Else Wear Apparel. But, for those of you who are ollie-impaired, click here to brush up on lingo before the savvy skater bash.
Better yet, this charitable event will feature a ridiculous Yards Brewing Company Tap Takeover hosting the following pours: Love Stout on Nitro, Cape of Good Hope Imperial IPA, Old Bartholomew Barleywine, ESA, Poor Richards Tavern Spruce, Thomas Jefferson Tavern Ale, General Washington’s Tavern Porter (rare firkin; one of two kegged), and more. Side Bar will additionally offer a specials menu for the event, featuring their notorious scrapple pizza (all the details on that, by clicking here).
And, while you may not be spewing skateboarding slang and schooling others about your deck and trucks, you can compete in another one of the night’s competitions upstairs, an old-school video game challenge all seen on big screens. Playstation 2 games will only be featured in the competition, including Tony Hawk’s Underground 1 & 2, Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland and Tony Hawk Pro-Skater 3.
