On Saturday, December 15th from 4 to 6 p.m., fans can join Chef Jose Garces for a fun, interactive Book Signing at his acclaimed Latin-Asian restaurant, Chifa (707 Chestnut Street). Chef Garces will be mingling in Chifa’s lower lounge and signing copies of his second cookbook, The Latin Road Home: Savoring the Foods of Ecuador, Spain, Cuba, Mexico, and Peru (Lake Isle Press), which will be available to purchase for $35.
Chef de Cuisine Natalie Maronski will prepare complimentary bites from the Peruvian chapter of the cookbook, as well as new items from Chifa’s menu, and will offer a special cocktail menu available on a pay-as-you-go basis. In addition, special Latin Road Home Baskets ($160 each) will be sold, a perfect gift for any gourmand.
