Bisou to Host Cooking and Mixology Courses Through Fall

It’s fall—time for back to school and learning something new! Bisou is participating in a series of Cooking and Mixology Classes this fall, with offerings in French cooking and infused liquors. Here’s the rundown:

Say Bonjour to French Bistro Cooking

Where: Bisou

What: Learn the basics of cooking French bistro fare. Chef Clark Gilbert will provide lots of tips on ingredients and teach simple techniques for drawing out deep flavors. Make French onion soup, braised short ribs and crème brulee and then enjoy a full, three-course meal with wine pairings.

Taking the Confusion Out of Infusion

Where: The Cruetzburg Center in Radnor

What: Learn to infuse liquors to make classic cocktails and invent your own concoctions with mixologist David Howard. Then apply these techniques to make flavored olive oils and vinegars to use in your cooking. You’ll produce your own personalized cocktail, vinegar & olive oil infusions using a wide selection of botanicals, spices and produce and will also take home your creations.

Fundamentals of French Bistro Fare

Where: Bisou

What: Chef Clark Gilbert will provide lots of tips on ingredients and teach simple techniques for creating great flavors. Learn to make a French vegetable plate, French onion soup, braised short ribs and crème brulee and then enjoy a full, four-course meal with wine pairings.
