Support a great cause—ending childhood hunger—at South Street’s Brauhaus Schmitz on April 11, starting at 5:30! The No Kid Hungry Happy Hour will take place in the Brauer Bund room.
During the two-hour fundraiser, $1 of every $5 German import on tap will be donated to Philadelphia’s No Kid Hungry efforts. Happy-hour goers can also purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win two VIP tickets to Taste of the Nation Philadelphia, which will be taking place on April 28 at the Hotel Monaco. Taste of the Nation will feature food from two dozen of the city’s best restaurants, along with specialty cocktails, wines, premium beer and a silent auction.
The No Kid Hungry Happy Hour and Taste of the Nation Philadelphia benefit Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, which in 2012 supported local organizations Philabundance, the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger, The Food Trust and the Pennsylvania Hunger Action Committee.
