First Ever Vintner’s Dinner Coming to Black Walnut Winery, Featuring 5 Expertly-Paired Food & Wine Pairings

Join Black Walnut Winery for an expertly paired five-course dinner on Saturday, April 6, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the winery in Sadsburyville. Winemaker Lance Castle will discuss the journey of the grape from vine to table and will help participants explore ways to pair wines with meals to create a memorable experience.

The menu for this intimate evening will be offered by Triple Fresh Catering. Food and wine pairings will be as follows:

First Course
Fresh Sea Scallops Sautéed in Lemon and Orange Butter Sauce, Served on a Japanese Tasting Spoon
Paired with 2010 Sémillon
Second Course
Roasted Thai Chicken Skewers Marinated in a Lime and Ginger Sauce and Sprinkled with Fresh Parsley and Finished with a Thai Peanut Glaze
Paired with Sassy
Third Course
Grilled London Broil Marinated and Topped with Sautéed Baby Bella Mushroom Sauce served with Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Paired with 2010 Tryst
Fourth Course
Herb Roasted, Center Cut Pork Loin Finished with a Cranberry and Cherry Chutney served with Grilled Asparagus
Paired with 2008 Syrah
Fifth Course
Individual Fresh Baked Shortcake Topped with Fresh Blackberries, Blueberries and Strawberries and Finished with a Dollop of Vanilla Whipped Cream
Paired with 2011 Vidal Blanc
