What is it like to live on the streets? The Good Samaritan Shelter‘s Night of Awareness gives you an opportunity to find out and to learn about the plight of people experiencing temporary homelessness. The event will take place from 8 p.m. on April 19 to 8 a.m. on April 20.
Before spending the night outside on the grounds of Valley Forge Christian College, located at 1401 Charlestown Road in Phoenixville, participants will hear stories from shelter residents, assemble care packages, participate in a candlelight vigil and have time for reflection.
All money raised by participants attending the event will support Good Samaritan Shelter’s Phoenixville program, which serves single homeless men. Find more information on the event website and in the Good Samaritan Shelter newsletter.
