Historic Sugartown Seeks Volunteers

Love history? Longing to share your passion for the past with others? Historic Sugartown wants your help!

Located outside of Malvern along Sugartown Road, Historic Sugartown interprets early American life at a rural crossroads village that remains remarkably unchanged since the mid-nineteenth century. Historic Sugartown, Inc. (HSI) seeks volunteers to serve as guides for its weekend tours and educational programs, to help with its annual Historic Sugartown Day on April 27, and to care for the historic buildings and collections. The public is invited to a Volunteer Interest Meeting on Monday, March 11 at 7 p.m. at Historic Sugartown’s Carriage Museum. It’s a chance to meet the staff of Historic Sugartown and learn about current volunteer opportunities. Please contact Heather Reiffer, Executive Director, at 610-640-2667 or [email protected] if you wish to attend.

In 2013, Historic Sugartown will be open for tours every Sunday, 1 – 4 p.m. from May through July, and open by appointment throughout the year. School and group tours are also available. The organization’s annual Historic Sugartown Day will be held on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, contact 610-640-2667, visit their FaceBook page, and learn more at Historic Sugartown.
