People’s Light & Theatre Company is bringing “Stargirl” to its Main Stage stage starting on April 20! The play by Y York, based on the popular novel by Jerry Spinelli, will be directed by Samantha Bellomo.
A celebration of first love, nonconformity and the similarities that connect us all, “Stargirl” will run at the theatre through May 12. (This show is best appreciated by ages 12 and up.)

The theater is also offering you a chance to meet the author of “Stargirl” before the April 21, May 4 and May 11 performances. Jerry Spinelli, the Newberry Award–winning author of more than 30 books, will be on hand for book signings at 1 p.m. on these days, before the 2 p.m. matinee.
